Interdisciplinary Procject

My experience of the showcase was fun to do I was kind of nervous to do the project and speak to different people from university or from the medical field. It was fun because we had to dress professionally for the presentation a lot of people were dress nice and fancy with their dress and tuxedo. It was a new experience for me because I never done a presentation in from professionals from other collages or university. Me and my group work hard on are presentation to get judges to be proud on are work we did. Me and my group question was should school nurses required monitor a student weight and me and my group said yes school nurses should monitor a student weight.

   My family was happy for me because I did a great job on the presentation that I work hard on to make everybody know that me and my group did good. When the presentation was over a was happy it was over and I was happy of my self what a great job I did because this was new experience to me and all the other people.

Duties and Responsibilities:  Dermatologists are physicians who treat conditions related to the skin, though they may also treat disorders related to the hair and nails. Dermatologists undergo additional specialized training beyond receiving a medical degree to become experts in skincare, and they must also obtain a license to practice. Some dermatologist choose to further specialize in the field by concentrating their work in pediatric dermatology, dermatopathology or procedural dermatology. While precise responsibilities are contingent upon the subspecialty of dermatology, most dermatologist have similar duties.

Salary: $223,000-$307,726

Education: All dermatologists must complete a Doctor or Medical (MD) degree before they are able to practice. Students must then enter a special dermatology program that includes a residency. Those with academic or research ambitions may eventually pursue additional doctoral degree.

The Thanksgiving holiday’s history in North America is rooted English traditions dating from the protestant Reformation. It also has aspects of a harvest festival, even though the harvest in New England occurs well before the late-November date on which the modern Thanksgiving holiday is celebrated. In the English tradition, days of thanksgiving and special thanksgiving religious services became important during the English Reformation in the reign of Henry VII and in reaction to the large number of religious holidays on the Catholic calendar. Before 1536 there were 95 Church holidays, plus 52 Sundays, when people were required to attend church and forego work and sometimes pay for expensive celebrations. The reforms reduced the number of Church holidays, including Christmas and Easter.

Education: It takes a relatively short period of time to become a dental assistant. Dental assistant receive their formal education through academic programs at community collages, vocational schools, technical institutes, universities or dental school. Graduates of these programs usually receive certificates. Although the majority of academic dental assisting programs take nine to eleven months to complete, some schools offer accelerated training, part-time education programs or training via distance education.

Duties and Responsibilities: Dental Laboratory Technology is both a science and art. Since each dental patient’s needs are different, the duties of a laboratory technician are comprehensive and varied. Although dental technicians seldom work directly with patients, except under the direction of a licensed dentist, they are valuable members of the dental care team. They work directly with dentists by following detailed written instructions and using impressions (molds) of the patient’s teeth or oral soft tissues to create full dentures for patients who are missing all of their teeth and removable partial dentures or fixed bridges for patients who are missing only one or few teeth.

Salary: $25,000-50,000

Education: Dental laboratory technicians may receive their education and training through a two-year program at a community collage, vocational school, technical collage, university or dental school. Graduates of these programs receive either an associate degree or a certificate. There also are a few programs that offer a four-year baccalaureate program in dental technology. In most cases , an interested individual needs a high school diploma or its equivalent to apply to an accredited dental laboratory technology programs. Columbus Day

    History:  Christopher Columbus (1451-1506) was a Genoese navigator and explorer. In the fifteenth century, Columbus believed that it would be possible to reach the lucrative market of eastern Asia by heading west, instead of the traditional rout which went east around Africa. He convinced Queen Isabella and King Ferdinand of Spain to support him, and he set off in August of 1492. The rest is history: Columbus discovered the Americas, which had been unknown until then. All in all, Columbus made four different journeys to the New World.

Columbus Day: Many countries in the New World and elsewhere celebrated the anniversary of Christopher Columbus arrival in the Americas, which happened on October 12, 1492, as a holiday or official celebration. The landing is celebrated as Columbus Day in the United States, as Dia de la Raza (“Day of the Race”) in many countries in Latin American, as Discovery Day in the Bahamas, as Dia de la Hispanidad and fiesta Nacional in Spain, as Dia de la Respeto a la Diversidad Cultural (Day of Respect for Cultural Diversity).

Many components are involved in the development of a video game. Designers, producers and graphic artists all contribute to the final product. However, programmers and software developers turn the idea into code, which provides the game with its operating instruction. Game and software developers create the core features of a video game. Duties of a game developers may include: Create a story line and character biographies, Conducting design reviews, Designing role-play mechanics, Creating prototypes for staff and management, Documenting game design process.

Salary: $40,000 to $70,000

Education: Game designers work with a team developing and designing video games. Video games are $30 billion industry in the U.S., especially as more people play games on their mobile phones, according to Reuters. game designers are an important part of a complex task of creating a new video game. Game designers have duties like designing characters, levels , puzzles, art and animation. They may also write code, using various computer programming languages. Depending on their career duties, they may also be responsible for projects management tasks and testing early versions of video games.

Reflection: I would like to be a game designer because I like game and it is entrusting and I would like to designing games.

Oriental medicine, which includes the practice of acupuncture, Chinese herbology and Asian bodywork therapy, is a comprehensive health care system encompassing a variety of traditional health care therapies  that have been used for more than 3,000 years to diagnose and treat illness, prevent disease and improve well-being.

Salary: $43,000-$47,000

Education: Comprehensive training in traditional differential diagnose and proper treatment methods requires that a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) complete three to four academic years of education at the master’s degree level in an Oriental Medicine (ACAOM). ACAOM is the only accrediting body recognize by the United States Department of Education as the authority for quality education and training in acupuncture and Oriental medicine.

Education:

First, an aspiring cardiologist must have a bachelor’s degree in order to get into medical school. The most logical pre-med bachelor degrees include courses in chemistry, mathematics, engineering or psychology.
