Anime is a term for Japanese animation. Anime often covers more serious topics than the typical cartoon. In America, cartoons are considered a form of entertainment meant for children. In Japan, people of all ages watch anime. Most shows and movies are centered for kids, adolescents, or young adults, but there are also many anime that are made for the older crowd, even businessmen. There are many genres in anime with basic categories like comedy, romance, action, drama, and pornography (hentai). There are also anime with content meant specifically for boys (shounen), girls (shoujo), and businessmen. Anime is not just movies; publishers release anime in many formats. There are movies, and television shows. Don't let the direct-to-video aspect of OVAs fool you, they aren't low-budget sequels trying to capitalize on the success of a movie. Many of them are high-quality stories that can't be properly condensed into a feature-length movie, and the stories are generally more intricate than those found in a daily or weekly half-hour television show. Anime have original stories while others draw their stories and characters from Japanese comic books (manga).

St. Patrick's Day

                          St. Patrick’s Day

This holiday is celebrated every year on March 17th, honoring the Irish patron saint, St. Patrick. The celebrations are largely Irish culture themed and typically consist of wearing green, parades, and drinking. Some churches may hold religious services and many schools and offices close in Suffolk County, the area containing Boston and its suburbs.

People all over the world celebrate St. Patrick's Day, especially places with large Irish-American communities. Feasting on the day features traditional Irish food, including corned beef, corned cabbage, coffee, soda bread, potatoes, and shepherd's pie. Many celebrations also hold an Irish breakfast of sausage, black and white pudding, fried eggs, and fried tomatoes.

 

St. Patrick, or the "Apostle of Ireland," actually started out in the pagan religion. While not much is known about his early life, as many of his life's details were lost to folklore, letters from St. Patrick reveal that he was captured in Wales, Scotland, or another close area outside of Ireland and taken to Ireland as a slave. Years later, he escaped and returned to his family, who were Romans living in Britain, going back to Ireland for mission work after finding a place as a cleric and then Bishop within the Christian faith. He was born around 460, and by the 600s, he was already known as the Patron Saint of Ireland.

Oncologist

                              Oncologist

Duties and Responsibilities: Oncology specialists are physicians trained in a variety of cancer diagnostic and treatment procedures, such as chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Typical oncology specialists may have as much as 15 years of advanced education and training, which includes undergraduate studies, medical school, and one or more residency training programs. Additionally, licensure is required to practice as a physician. The American Board of Medical Specialties certifies oncology physicians in five different specialized areas, including radiation, medical, surgical and pediatric oncology.

Salary: $217,856
Education: As physicians, oncology specialists must complete up to eight years of undergraduate and medical school education. They then train in a medical residency that can last 3-5 years depending on the specialty. Those pursing subspecialty training may also be required to complete an additional residency or fellowship of up to three years.

Health Educator

                         Health Educator                      Duties and Responsibilities:
The Seven Areas of Responsibility are a comprehensive set of Competencies and Sub-competencies defining the role of the health education specialist. These Responsibilities were verified through the 2010 Health Educator Job Analysis Project and serve as the basis of the CHES exam beginning in April 2011 and the MCHES exam in October 2011. The Sub-competencies shaded are advanced-level only and will not be included in the entry-level, CHES examination. However the advanced-level Sub-competences will be included in the October 2011 MCHES examination.

Salary: $34,500-$45,000

Education: Health educators need a bachelor’s degree. Many employers require the Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) credential. Requirements for community health workers vary, although they typically have at least a high school diploma and must complete a brief period of on-the-job training. Some states have certification programs for community health workers.

Reflexology

Duties and Responsibilities: Reflexology, also known as zone therapy, is an alternative form of treatment involving the application of pressure to different parts of the body in order to improve the general health. Reflexologists are professionals skilled in this natural art of healing. They treat patients by massaging their feet, hands, and ears to relieve them of stress, and improve circulation to the related body areas. The entire method of treatment is based on the principle that certain reflex zones in the body correspond to different body parts. Reflexologists are required to examine the physical condition of their clients, determine the root cause of ailments, and recommend suitable treatments. They may often have to provide advice and guidance regarding the client’s diet, lifestyle, and work.
Salary: $38,000
Education: There is no specific academic requirement for reflexologists. One can opt for high school education in subjects like biology, chemistry, nutrition, and health. There are a number of private schools and graduate colleges that offer courses on reflexology. It is beneficial to attend a 6-month or 1-year course from a training school before taking up the profession.
